The Lunar Nodes travel retrograde, or move backwards (precess), through the zodiac. They spend approximately a year and a half in each sign, completing an entire orbit in 18.6 years.

Since the North Node is an excellent business / social-trend indicator, it is very helpful to understand its movements through the signs. Concurrent with the Nodes precessing into Aquarius, we are concerned about the economy. Since the early 1800's, the economy is at its lowest point when the North Node is in Aquarius, while it is at its highest in Leo (remember back in 1999, when everyone was making money?). By economy I mean the stock market and available funds. Economists and experts are predicting a down-turn, mainly due to the lower US dollar value and the housing bubble (which seems to be growing instead of bursting in my neighborhood).

With the North Node in Aquarius, feeling personal pride may not be as important as the nature of the work you do, the connections you make, and the lives you touch. Status that comes through possessing expensive things may not continue to assure influence and high social ranking. The nature of prosperity is changing.

The North Node in Aquarius is statistically the lowest point in the economic cycle (Leo being the highest, the last time the North Node was in Leo was 1999). But money may not be your main goal right now. You may focus on learning more so you have more to share with others. Instead of feeling you have to be THE star or better than anyone else, being a functioning PART of the group can be more fulfilling for the next few years. No ONE person can be or do it all, but together we can gain more pride and self-respect.
