New Moon in Pisces: dreams and beliefs
New Moon in Pisces (2 Pisces 42) on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 @ 5:35 pm EST
Distinctions blur between victim and bully. Actions inspired by the belief that you "should be perfect" or you deserve to be treated like a doormat -- are likely to create self-sabotaging effects, as they create the opposite result of (conscious) intentions. And since Mars opposes the Pisces stellium (starting with Mercury on February 23), you can also reflect your beliefs onto others by getting irritated and criticizing every little thing they do. Is it really "them?" This dream reveals something deeper. It's a good time to delve into your core beliefs and see how they influence every emotion you feel, and how that radiates out and effects your life.

Mars Retrograde Update
Mars is Retrograde in Virgo through April 13. Now that the inner planets are transiting Pisces, Mars (moving backwards) is opposing a stellium of Pisces planets. The criticism you cast onto others is not likely to have the intended effect. In fact, the more overly critical you are of others -- looking only to find fault-- the more likely you are to miss the main event, the true heart of the matter, and self-sabotage all your efforts -- without even trying. What if all the negative thoughts you could summons about someone had no effect on your intended target, yet negatively effected you?! Instead of 'sweating the small stuff,' imagine what it would feel like to embrace the wisdom being offered by your higher consciousness; to allow yourself to feel the flow of well-being.
On this New Moon, representing new beginnings, we can also wonder what it would be like if the negative words and opinions of others had no effect on our emotions. The New Moon's focus on Pisces, along with ruler Neptune now in Pisces, can help us all to see how addicted we are to our 'natural' emotional responses. Can we do more than react to the 'other' guy? What would could happen if we didn't believe our emotional reactions were 'natural?' It would take the blame OFF others -- and put the responsibility on ourselves. Not the blame, just the response-ability. And most of us do not really want that.
To effectively reprogram major beliefs and automatic emotional responses, we first need to ask ourselves, honestly, what are we getting with our emotional reactions? Are we successfully keeping others 'in line?' Are we conjuring fear and prejudice to be in contro? At what price to our energy, our well-being, and our relationships? What are we hiding, protecting, afraid of risking? Looking foolish, being thought of as a loser, appearing weak, or wrong? Not being the person we hope others think we are? Perhaps at this New Moon in Pisces, (con)joining ruler Neptune (also parallel by declination), we are truly ready to start changing the way other people and situations 'make' us feel. Besides our knee-jerk reactions, what else are our emotions telling us, what information do they reveal?
You may also want to keep in mind Mercury is approaching a Retrograde Station on March 12 -- which also means this week's Mercury-Mars opposition continues.... Even beliefs and opinions seemingly 'written in stone' can be edited.
