Introduction
Welcome to your Past Life report. Whereas the
birthchart is a symbolic road map describing your current life, the Past Lives
chart is a blueprint of your previous incarnations. The pages that follow will
help shed some light on themes related to your past life instincts. First,
let's talk about reincarnation which is the belief that the current incarnation
(as depicted by our birthchart) is linked to the lives that we have previously
led. This collection of past influences points to particular experiences you
might encounter again so that you can further your growth and fully develop
your creative potential. These past impressions go far in shaping many of our
current thoughts and choices. There are certain gifts a person seems to possess
right out of the womb! It's as
though destiny or fate leads one to realize these attributes. Of course, we
still have to show ambition and make the effort in order to keep our dreams
alive. This report may give confirmation to talents that you already know you
have or open your eyes to ones that you have yet to discover.
Our past lives are alive and well in our
consciousness. This may already be apparent to you. But on the other hand,
these experiences can lie beyond the threshold of our conscious mind's
awareness. What is doing the remembering, if our mind isn't? Call it your soul,
higher consciousness or whatever explanation feels right to you.
Have you ever heard about karma, that great law of
cause and effect? An old timeless saying sums up the whole process: "You
reap what you sew." There are actions and thoughts that defined us in
other lives, or have guided us to where we are in the present. They don't
really exert any control over us. We have freedom of choice. That's a strong
message to remember when reading this report.
Also, don't panic if you read something that says
you were not a perfect person. Nobody is in the current one! Use the report as
a learning tool. The idea is to keep developing and evolving. It's balancing
the cosmic rhythm of past and present that presents each of us with a
challenge. Do we respond positively or negatively? With hope or doubt? Many of
our tendencies are linked to previous incarnations. Certain patterns have
likely been by our side over many lifetimes. As we grow and expand our awareness,
it becomes very possible to step beyond the trappings of past life baggage.
No doubt you will read various sections that seem
to contradict each other. Each could be true about you. It's important to
realize that many different dimensions of ourselves live within us. Each of us
is composed of memories from so many past lives, combined with an assortment of
ways we have learned to deal with reality in this life, that make us complex
beings. See which descriptions ring true to you as you read through the following
pages. You will notice some traits described have a repeating theme.
I hope you find this report an enjoyable ride into
your past life instincts and thought patterns. They are somewhere in your
consciousness. Perhaps some of what you read will strike a familiar chord.
After all, these pages are all about your past life loves, creative pursuits,
adventures, travels, highs and lows, over many lifetimes. Happy navigating!
The Past Life Chart Structure
Some technical explanations about the Past Life chart
(if you detest technical discussions, then skip this paragraph and jump right
into the report!). The Ascendant in this chart starts with the sign on the cusp
of the 12th house, instead of the traditional method of using the sign on the
1st house cusp, which is the sign rising on the eastern horizon at the time of
birth. Also, the Past Life birthchart houses are counted clockwise, rather than
the conventional way of counterclockwise. In other words, since the 12th house
becomes the Ascendant, the sign on the cusp of the 11th house now begins the
2nd house, etc., around the chart wheel. What is considered the Ascendant or
1st house in the traditional chart becomes the 12th in the Past Life chart.
Your planets remain in the same sign placements, but now occupy different
houses, in this new chart. The planets in signs are interpreted in your report
from a past lives perspective.
Something interesting to consider in thinking of
the houses in a clockwise direction, they are actually now moving in the same
direction as the Nodes of the Moon. As you will read in the report the Moon's
nodes are strong past life or karmic points in a chart. Their retrograde motion
is clockwise meaning they share the same life biorhythms as the houses of the
Past Life chart. By traveling backward, or clockwise, through the houses, you
are being regressed back into a past life analysis. Enjoy your ride down memory
filled lanes!
The Passport
In this section are the first, middle and last names of your Past Lives
astrological identity, the Sun, Moon, and Past Lives Ascendant. Each of these
three building blocks will be discussed as to how they actively shaped many of
your former lives. But before you meet these three key players, you will start
your tour through memory lane with the North Node of the Moon. The North Node
contains a special message about what was your overall life purpose. It was a constant rhythm pulsating in
your consciousness to keep you on target toward your true purposes. It was a
celestial compass trying to guide you to walk your talk with greater clarity.
So sit back, and enjoy reading your past lives primer.
Node in Libra
You had a history of seeking relationships that
maintained or restored your balance. One of your key impulses was an
appreciation of beauty. Your soul was normally eager to reincarnate, knowing
the world offered a huge panorama in which to explore your love and aesthetic
interests. The archetypal theme for your destiny was to be a mediator. A
crucial lesson was to realize you couldn't please everyone all of the time. You
tended to forget who you really were when distracted by so many different pulls
upon you.
When you developed a deeper awareness of people,
your perceptions guided you how to give and take freely. In other words, rather
than being over accommodating, you became assertive for what you needed. A
trickster was growing too aggressive. You became too self-centered. Finding a
way to balance the scales of too much compromising with that of grabbing the
attention back to you was paramount to feeling happy. You sometimes had to get
angry or be a warrior to get results. You looked for meaning in finding
experiences that mirrored back to you with clarity what you were seeking.
Rushing impulsively into situations caused you to repeat the same mistakes.
Walking gracefully, not necessarily slowly, with an inner assuredness, often
attracted the right soul mate and circumstances that kept the scales near the
middle of fulfillment.
Node in 12th house
What types of activities did you participate in
that furthered your soul growth? It was when you had faith in your ideals. Your
belief system was the force behind everything you did. Self-doubt was what held
you back as was trying to be too perfect. A common concern was "how can I
find the love I seek without giving up my own true dreams?" When you
didn't blindly follow in someone else's footsteps or chase after unrealistic
ideas, you managed to stay out of karma's way. Your energy levels peaked when
you fell in love. Yes, cupid's arrow found your heart a steady mark. Romance
and fulfilling the plea of your highest values inspired your imagination.
Knowing your boundaries kept you on track as much as ignoring them occasionally
took you down roads of escapism. Knowing that a lover couldn't solve all of your
problems, and you had no magic potion to take away those of others, made your
path a lot simpler. Somewhere always hiding in the caverns of your memory banks
was an intuitive instinct mixed with a tinge of an in-depth analytical ability.
When using this wisely and with discernment, a magical guidance and a clear
glimpse ahead colored life.
Sun: Creativity, Ego,
Self-expression
Sun in Libra:
The sign of Libra, symbolized by the scales,
lighted the early-fall astrological skies at your birth into this life. Let's
explore what significance this had in regard to your past lives. In traditional
astrology the keyword phrase for Libra is "I balance". You had a
repeating pattern in dealing with the dilemma of figuring out opposing
opinions. The fallout that came afterwards was indecision in that each choice
looked just as good as the other.
Archetypes for Libra include the diplomat, lover
and artist. You often got a chance to mediate disputes in previous lives.
Greater happiness came through decisive action.
The cosmic principle at work through many of your
incarnations was to seek approval from others. It was only when this became
compulsive that you got into trouble. Another key theme was partnerships.
Relationships played a big role. Finding a sign mate was a quest, and in some
lives you felt incomplete without one. When you didn't look for too much of
yourself in someone else, your relationships yielded greater harmony. The arts
were an outlet for your creative impulses and awakened your senses. You found
ego strength through falling in love and expressing passionate ideas. Though
not a fighter at heart, you did make war when you wanted to defeat a competitive
adversary. You have come into this life solarized through a sign promoting
gracefulness and refined social instincts. This was a theme that ran throughout
your incarnations and was a key to self-mastery. When you had the wisdom to
think for yourself and yet hear the voices of those who loved you, your days
were less lonely.
Sun in 12th house
You had solar power heating your idealism in a big
way in past lives. A desire to make your dreams come true was ever present.
Faith could move mountains in your eyes. Your intuitive voice often whispered
words of inspiration to your conscious mind, that is, if you could hear them.
Your creative vitality fed off of your imagination. In some lives you had avid
interest in the arts. Aligning your mind with your spiritual beliefs gave you
an energy boost. Expectations had to be reality-tested to ensure you were
asking for the possible. The irony was that when you went beyond the ordinary
is when you were unusually lucky. Pride in your highest values was shown. You
liked those able to fulfill a promise.
If there was a challenge it was escapism. Running
away from conflict caused problems. When you faced life directly, you made
yourself and others happy in the long haul. You were often a romantic. Love and
soul mates constantly knew your name. It was defining clearly what you needed
that became important. Guilt and self-pity depleted your clarity. Gaining
objective distance from problems was a must. Healing energy emanated from you, but you needed to be aware
of your boundaries. Your self-expression flourished through your ideals. You
found fulfillment through helping others transcend their limitations, and in
sharing your life with those understanding your intuitive hunger.
Moon: Sense of Security, Roots,
Feelings
Moon in Capricorn:
You were lunarized at birth through the sign of
Capricorn. What does this say about your past life tendencies? An instinctual
desire to trust the safety of structure as a means to success followed you from
one incarnation to another. The family ancestries in past lives were linked by
a serious acceptance of responsibility and ambitious drives.
Your inner landscapes were colored by a
hard-working nature. Fear was the
stumbling block that got in your way. When you conquered self-doubt just enough
to break free, you found your true paths. You could be quite reserved, even
shy, until getting to know someone. It's possible that you felt younger as you
became older! You were a reliable sort. Some may have found you a little
strict. The less control you exhibited, the closer loved ones came to you.
You enjoyed solitude as the atmosphere spoke to
your soul. You rose into leadership positions because people trusted you. You
reached the top of a profession through steady patience. Delayed gratification
was not that hard for you. Being too conservative when it came to taking a risk
did cost you an opportunity or two. Depression was a challenge. It was important that you didn't make
your work your whole life. Another strong theme was leadership. Your subconscious
called to you to stay clear of becoming rigid, and let the voice of your
intuition speak as loudly as your pragmatic side.
Moon in 9th house
You had intuitive power when it came to tuning
into adventurous directions. A yearning for learning was an innate drive. The
teacher and counselor in you brought others to respect your judgment. You
benefitted more from broad vision than one that stopped too quickly, thinking
you had all of the answers. You needed to watch that your emotions didn't always
outweigh your logic. You could be pulled in too many directions at once.
Gaining independence was a drive. A gypsy and
traveler you could be. Either living in lands foreign from birth or in a
different region occurred often. Your moods were relatively cool. Though it
must be said, when it came to arguing over your principles, you could get very
hot. You didn't like wasting energy on details, which bothered some people.
Emotional outbursts were a way to get what you desired. Lacking a desire for
roots was sometimes a trait. An inner desire to see the world and be a student
of life permeated your being. Experiences that inspired your imagination were
your favorites, as were those that made great escapes from reality.
Ascendant: Persona, Identity,
Calling Card
Virgo on Ascendant:
With the sign Virgo as your past lives Ascendant,
a scrutinizing nature often colored your incarnations. You customarily showed a serious
disposition. Hard working was one of your calling cards. People often saw you
as reliable and trustworthy. A strong desire to be organized was part of your
past life history. The business world was never far from you. There was a
natural inclination to develop pragmatic skills. You were a no-nonsense person.
A challenge was not becoming too negative if life didn't measure up to your
expectations. It was important that you saw the cup as half full rather than as
half empty. You displayed a tendency toward compulsive worry. You often looked
at the world through analytical eyes. You showed a need to know the
"why" of things that occurred in your life. Being a worrier brought
out your best and worst. A tendency to pursue details gave you a gift to be
well organized. The other side of this coin was that you needed to learn to let
go of worrying. Being able to sometimes forget the trees in order to see the
forest was good for you!
The Quest
Mercury: Communication, Perceptions and Logic
Mercury in Scorpio
You were Mercurialized at birth through the sign
of Scorpio pointing to probing mental impulses in past lives. Your
communication style was reflective and at times very passionate.
It wasn't easy to read your mind as your words hid
your feelings. An introspective side could find you very quiet. You sometimes
purposely stayed silent to deepen your contemplation on a situation. There were
instances you did this to manipulate and even punish others. You didn't always
forgive real easily. When you let go of the past, it tended to free up your
creative energy. You could be decisive in a flash. Indecision was more a matter
of not wanting to tip your playing cards before you were good and ready.
Privacy was something you guarded.
You worked ferociously on projects. Business sense
was there if needed. You liked to know what was going on beneath the surface of
things. Metaphysical processes intrigued you. When you managed to figure out
how to redirect negative energy into the positive, you found great strength.
Your mental outlook was brighter when you found like-minded allies, and when
you let your insights guide you to opportunities for exhilarating rebirths of
spirit.
Mercury in 11th house
Your perceptions moved unpredictability, which was
the way you liked it! Progressive thinkers excited your brain synapses into
sheer electrical delight. You inventively looked out at the world, trying to
determine the doors opening to new discoveries. Your mind insightfully could
size up situations. You lived somewhere between the traditional and
unconventional worlds, not always certain where you belonged. Experimental
inclinations were strong, unless you feared the consequences. Rebellious thinking emanated from you
when disgusted with institutions backward in their ideologies. When you became
too eccentric people weren't sure what to do with you.
Communication with those you loved and admired was
a joy. You were aloof when hiding your feelings. You did like a wide assortment
of acquaintances because you had knowledge about a vast array of subjects. You
had a way of shocking people when saying what was on your mind. You liked
surprising others and being surprised by new information. You were selective in
picking and choosing what needed to be considered a priority. You didn't care
to be bogged down by tedious details. Life directions that contained a
multiplicity of options were desirable. Perhaps most of all you thrived on the
freedom to fly your own way.
Venus: Relationships, Values,
Comfort.
Venus in Virgo
With the love goddess adorning you through the
sign of Virgo at birth, you came from past lives where you appreciated
down-to-earth lovers. Many people experienced you as symbolizing pragmatism and
dependability. Your social instincts were shaded with a hue of curiosity and yet
lined with a cautious nature.
The ideal soul mate was someone devoted to similar
life interests and possessing a strong work ethic. You were attracted to lovers
that were able to return the attention you gave them. Patience was something
you showed when working. People liked your meticulous way of doing a job. Making things run more smoothly and
efficiently gave you a sense of satisfaction. An interest in health and diet put you into the role of the
healer.
