)) SOLAR ECLIPSE ((
------ in Cancer ------

The Solar Eclipse in Cancer is a time to open to nurturing. This can be more difficult than it seems, especially if there are old family issues that have never been realized or acknowledged and/or continue to limit your emotional ability to feel close to others, or to even want to feel close to others. Feeling can feel vulnerable, and not wanting to talk about it is a sure way to stay alienated. But if you're equating being open with taking in other people's negativity, you may be dealing with feelings of dependency. Once someone opens up to you, it doesn't mean they have to become dependent or addicted to you; if you don't encourage needy behavior, you won't attract it and you won't need to be overly depended upon or dependent on people or things to fill the empty spaces; emotional pain can be a signal that change is needed, and like a hungry belly, is not necessarily something to be filled in immediately. This is a good time to become more aware of how you try to fix people emotionally, even when they haven't asked. And how you feel when they don't respond the way you want them to. Trying too hard to feel other's feelings for them can really be an attempt to control something unpredictable-- emotions.

The Solar Eclipse in Cancer offers an opportunity to care about our emotions, to offer each other emotional understanding without strings attached, and to feel our emotions without fear.
